David Cawley

David,  from Castlebar Co Mayo,  is married to Jane and they have a daughter Isabel and a son Joseph. He attended St. Patrick’s N.S. and St. Gerald’s College, where, while in transition year 1990, he helped set up a school radio at break and lunch time.

David studied Radio Broadcasting in Dun Laoighaire college of Art and Design and on returning to Castlebar, worked with the community radio in the town, CRC fm, for 2 years, then on to Galway for a short while.  David joined Midwest Radio in October 1998 to present the Breakfast Show for a couple of weeks. “I was on a 2 week trial……it’s been the longest 2 weeks of my life!”

David was thrilled to be asked to co-present ‘American Country’ and is looking forward to seeing how his natural presenting ability translates from the radio onto the screen.

Angelina Nugent

Angelina Nugent is Sports Editor with Midwest Radio and also works as part of the news team at the station. She has been with Midwest Radio for almost 14 years, arriving after her Leaving Certificate for an initial 1 year, which has now turned into 14!

She has always enjoyed a challenge and when Paul asked her if she wanted to get involved in the new American Country programme on Ireland West Music TV, she jumped at the chance to be a part of this exciting new element of the MWR Group.

She has long enjoyed working with David, and their effortless presenting chemistry is clear for all to see on American Country.
